Connect YouTube to Outfy

Introduction #

Connecting your YouTube channel to Outfy allows you to automate video sharing and streamline your multi-platform content distribution. Outfy uses your Google account to access and manage your YouTube content securely.

Note: You must have a valid Google/YouTube account and grant Outfy the required permissions to publish on your behalf.

Prerequisites #

Before starting the connection process, make sure:

1. You have an active YouTube channel associated with a Google account

Make sure your Google account is connected to an existing, active YouTube channel. Outfy needs access to a real channel to post content.

2. You’re signed into the correct Google account that owns or manages the channel

Log in to the Google account that owns or has access to the YouTube channel you want to connect. Using the wrong account will prevent Outfy from seeing your channel.

3. Your YouTube account is in good standing (not suspended or restricted)

Accounts with strikes, suspensions, or restrictions may block publishing access. Ensure your channel follows YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

4. You’re using a desktop browser with pop-up blockers disabled

Some login or authorization steps open in new windows. Disable any pop-up blockers or browser extensions that may interrupt the connection flow.

5. You have manager or owner permissions if the channel is part of a Brand Account

If your YouTube channel is linked to a Brand Account, your Google account must have manager or owner access. View-only or limited roles can’t grant Outfy publishing rights.

1. Do I need a YouTube channel or just a Google account?

You must have a YouTube channel. If you only have a Google account, you need to create a channel before connecting.

2. Can I connect a YouTube Brand Account?

Yes, but you must have manager or owner access to the Brand Account in your Google settings.

3. Why does it ask for a Google account login when I try to connect to YouTube?

Outfy uses Google’s official API to manage your channel, so login and permissions are required to authenticate securely.

4. Can I connect more than one YouTube channel?

Yes! You can connect multiple channels, but each must be added separately through the same steps.
