Introduction #
Outfy makes it easy to create compelling social media posts by allowing you to customize captions, use relevant hashtags, and manage reusable post templates. These tools help boost engagement, improve visibility, and save time while keeping your brand voice consistent across platforms.
Outfy supports two types of captions to help you create engaging social media content:
- AI-based captions with hashtags, which automatically generate smart, product-specific text and tags. To learn more about it, click here.
- Template-based captions: where you can manually write and customize reusable messages using placeholders. This gives you the flexibility to choose between quick automation and full creative control.
Template-based captions #
Captions are the text that appears alongside your images or videos on social media. Outfy allows you to manually write and customize captions for each post. Here is the steps below to add or edit the captions.
- Go to the ‘Create Post’ and select any post type you want to publish
- In the Caption box, write your message. This can include:
- Product highlights
- Promotional phrases (e.g., “Limited time offer!”)
- Emojis
- Hashtags (optional)
- Captions can be written in any language to reach global audiences.
- Preview your caption before scheduling or publishing.
Hashtags #
Hashtags help increase the discoverability of your posts by making them searchable across social media platforms.
Steps to add or edit hashtags to your post
- In the caption field, simply add hashtags like this: #handmade #sale #giftideas
- Separate multiple hashtags using commas or spaces.
Manually Create and Use the Hashtag Cloud (With AI)
- Go to “Captions” on the left side of your Outfy dashboard. Click on “# Hashtags”.
- Click Create New Hashtag Cloud using AI.
- Fill in the following:
- Hashtag Cloud Name (e.g., Jewelry Collection)
- Enter Topic or Category (e.g., Fashion, Handmade, Gifts)
- (Optional) Add a Hint to guide the AI (e.g., Eco-friendly).
- Click Generate Using AI to get relevant hashtags.
- You can also manually enter your own hashtags in the box below.
- Click Save to reuse this hashtag cloud in your post templates.
Post Template #
Post Templates help you save reusable promotional messages that can be applied to your product posts across various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and more.
Steps to create or edit new post templates
- Go to Templates and click + Create new Post Template.
- Name your template (e.g., Holiday Sale, New Launch).
- Choose a platform tab (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Write and edit your caption using text + placeholders like:
PRODUCT_TITLE, PRODUCT_PRICE, PRODUCT_URL, TAG_CLOUD, etc. - Set the max number of hashtags to include.
- Click Preview to review, then Save to apply.
On the Post Templates page, use the “Translate post templates to” dropdown to select your preferred language for multilingual support.
How to Change Language in Outfy #

Steps to Change Language:
- On the Outfy dashboard, click the four-line menu (☰) on the top right.
- Go to Settings > Currency, Timezone & Language.
- In the Language dropdown, select your preferred language.
- Save your changes — Outfy will now reflect this language, and your posts can be created accordingly.
