General Settings: Customize Your Video Preferences in Vidoo

Introduction #

The General Settings section in Vidoo allows you to configure how your videos behave across your Shopify store, from email notifications to language, product image handling, video positioning, and managing your video limit effectively.


Email Notification Preferences #

Stay informed with email alerts related to your video automation and system status.

High Priority: Toggle Yes to receive urgent alerts such as:

  • Automation failures
  • Reached video limit
  • Other critical system updates

General: Toggle Yes to receive routine updates and informational emails about your Vidoo account.


Choose Your Video Language #

  • Select the language in which your product videos will be generated.
  • This affects captions, text overlays, and any autogenerated content in your videos.
  • Use the dropdown to choose from available languages (e.g., English by default).

Duplicate Product Images in the Video #

Vidoo videos are designed to include 5 images per product for the best visual appeal.

  • Toggle Yes to duplicate product images when a product has fewer than 5 available.
  • This ensures video length and design consistency even for products with limited images.

Product Video Position on Your Shopify Store #

Choose where the video appears on your product page:

  • First: Display the video before all product images.
  • Second: Display the video after the main product image (recommended default).
  • Last: Display the video after all product images.

Select the option that best suits your store’s visual flow and user experience.


Video Limit Management for Shopify Stores #

If your Shopify plan limits the number of videos (e.g., 250 videos max), Vidoo offers two handling options when the limit is reached:

  • Option AAuto-Replace
    Automatically delete the oldest video and upload a new one for your latest product.
  • Option BManual Embed
    Create a new video and generate embed tags for manual insertion on your store.

Note: Embedded videos do not count toward your Shopify plan’s video limit.

Select the preferred method to manage your video capacity smoothly.


Best Practices #

Enable High Priority email alerts to stay ahead of any automation or limit issues.

Set your video language to match your store’s target audience.

Always ensure products have at least 5 images for richer video output or enable duplication.
