What personal information does Outfy collect?

The information we gather from customers enables us to personalize and improve our services and to allow our users to set up a user account and profile that can be used to interact with other users through the Website. We collect the following types of information from our customers:

Personal information you provide to us

We receive and store any information you provide to us. The types of Personal Information collected may include your real name, username, email address, IP address, location, browser information, browsing history, transactions, listings created, comments and reviews posted, and any other information necessary for us to provide our services as well as credentials you provide us to link your Outfy account with third-party services such as Facebook and Twitter. If you provide your third-party account credentials to us, you understand some content and/or information in those accounts ("Third Party Account Information") may be transmitted into your account with us if you authorize such transmissions, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to our Website is covered by this Privacy Policy. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features. We may anonymize your Personal Information so that you cannot be individually identified, and provide that information to our partners.

  • Whenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, "cookie" information, and the page you requested.

For example, this aggregate data tells us how often users use parts of the Website, so that we can make the Website appealing to as many users as possible. We may also provide this aggregate information to our partners, so that they can understand how often people use their services and our Website, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. We never disclose aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally.
Third-party Integrations

Outfy platform provides a host of integrations with external third-party platforms. To achieve this, after asking for your consent, these platforms share a secret key which can be used to access your data and integrate into the Outfy platform, and sometimes Outfy has to provide a secret key to these platforms for them to be able to access your data and make the integration possible. We will not share personal information about you or any content with any other third parties for this.

Whenever we receive secret keys related to your account from external platforms, we store them securely in our encrypted database. When you apply for deletion of your account, or when you explicitly remove the specific integration, the secret key is deleted from our records, forever!

YouTube API Services

Outfy uses YouTube's Application Interface Program (API). By using our Services, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You can review YouTube's Terms of Service here YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).

While using google authentication we save user's information such as account ID, username details to set up the user's profile and remove the user's hassle of manually entering this in account setup details. We also save the user's authentication token and refresh token when using YouTube Integrations, as it helps users to not authenticate every time when sharing videos to the YouTube platform. YouTube user data is refreshed every 7 days.

Users can remove this information from Outfy by deleting or disconnecting his/her connected account. This record is saved internally and not shared with any third parties. User can also remove Outfy’s access from using their authorized token by revoking Outfy from Google Security Setting page(https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Outfy checks the validity of the connected youtube account periodically every 7 days and if found un-authorised, all associated data is removed.

Outfy may allow you to connect a TikTok profile to your Outfy account, in which case we will access certain information from TikTok regarding your account. In particular, we may collect profile image, display name, username / profile ID, access tokens, sent posts, and to the extent permitted by applicable law. This data will only be used by Outfy to provide you with the Service you expect and will not be shared with any third parties.

Outfy allows you to connect a Facebook page or profile to your Outfy account, in which case we will access certain information from Facebook regarding your account. In particular, we may collect profile image, display name, username / page ID or profile ID, access tokens, insights, and to the extent permitted by applicable law This data will only be used by Outfy to provide you with the Service you expect and will not be shared with any third parties.

Instagram

Outfy may allow you to connect an Instagram profile to your Outfy account, in which case we will access certain information from Instagram regarding your account. In particular, we may collect profile image, display name, username / profile ID, access tokens, insights, and to the extent permitted by applicable law. This data will only be used by Outfy to provide you with the Service you expect and will not be shared with any third parties.

Twitter

Outfy allows you to connect a Twitter profile to your Outfy account, in which case we will access certain information from Twitter regarding your account. In particular, we may collect profile image, display name, username / page ID or profile ID, access tokens, insights, and to the extent permitted by applicable law. This data will only be used by Outfy to provide you with the Service you expect and will not be shared with any third parties.

Pinterest

Outfy may allows you to connect a Pinterest profile to your Outfy account, in which case we will access certain information from Pinterest regarding your account. In particular, we may collect profile image, display name, username / profile ID, access tokens, insights, and to the extent permitted by applicable law. This data will only be used by Outfy to provide you with the Service you expect and will not be shared with any third parties.

When you register for the first time on Outfy, you will be automatically opted in to receive email notices, which may include notification if someone sends you a message or invites you to join a Outfy list or group, new friend or follower requests, Outfy newsletters and announcements, notification of new activity on your lists, and notices about public Outfy activity by your friends or followers. We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make emails more interesting and improve our service. If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please indicate your preference on your Settings page, and by emailing us at hello@outfy.com. If you send an email using the service to an email address that is not registered in our community, we do not use that email address for any purpose other than to send your email. We do not rent or sell these email addresses, nor do we send them marketing messages. Other users may send emails and messages to you via the Outfy service. Outfy does not review these messages before they are sent to you.

Will Outfy share any of the personal information it receives?

We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information to anyone. We share your Personal Information in personally identifiable form only as described below.

User profiles

User profile information, including without limitation your name, email address, and other information ("User Submissions") may be displayed to other users if you chosen to enter such information on your user profile. Again, any content (including without limitation images, captions, and comments) you voluntarily disclose for other users to view on the Website is not Personal Information; it becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others, and may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels. Additionally, if you sign into the Website through a third party social networking site or service, your list of "friends" from that site or service may be automatically imported to the Website, and such "friends," if they are also registered users of the Website, may be able to access certain non-public information you have entered in your Website user profile.
